Living Small

Living small on this earth makes so much of a difference. Not only to oneself, but it also affects others. It creates a ripple effect. It touches the other dimensions of my life.

Last weekend, I managed to read about Michael Reynold's Earthships that began in Taos, New Mexico. I said to myself, this is how I want to live. I want to be self sustaining. I want to be off the grid... oh! That term 'Off the Grid' has more meaning for me now than just getting off the power grid. It means a different life style altogether. It means more responsibilities in terms of the things I use and how I use them. I don't want it to be just an environmental reason. I need it to be born out of the heart, one that comes from within, not out of self righteousness.
